Community Relations Office outlines Jan. 17 MLK Day service activities

Members of the Temple community will commemorate the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday with a variety of services, events and projects benefitting regional community organizations. Faculty and students are encouraged to return to Temple on Jan. 17, a day before classes begin for the spring semester, to participate in the activities, which will include:

In addition to the Jan. 17 events, Temple's College of Education, Office of Sustainability and Black Alumni Alliance will host a clean-up project on Friday, Jan. 14 at the Paul L. Dunbar Elementary School, near Main Campus. Students, faculty and staff will paint radiators and spruce up classrooms using environmentally friendly products; and a mural artist will bring one of the school's walls to life.
