Diversity lessons: Temple and Iowa students teach in each other's back yards

TU Advisory: July 20 incident at 11th and Norris streets

Philadelphia and Temple Police are investigating a shooting which took place just after 10 pm at the intersection of 11th and Norris streets, adjacent to campus. A 10-year-old child was shot in the leg and has been hospitalized. The suspect is a black male wearing a blue and white sweatsuit last seen going north on Marvine. Anyone with information should immediately call 911.

Expert: Final cost of new stadiums to exceed sticker price

Some of the proposed Las Vegas-area stadiums are looking to use tools like tax-increment financing districts to cover the costs of construction “You’ll have a stadium, and that will increase property taxes, and the difference will be used to pay off the bonds,” said Joel Maxcy, a professor at Temple’s Sports Industry Research Center. “That’s the lure of a revenue bond in these situations. But if it doesn’t come through, the taxpayers are on the hook for it.”

Temple appoints panel to examine abuse policies
