Now 30, Schwartz is graduating with a degree in media studies and production and stakes claim to being Temple University Television's first game show host.

The media studies and production major recalls how he would work straight through entire weekends at his job delivering pizza. Jad Sleiman is the first Temple student to win the prestigious Overseas Press Club Foundation Scholarship. Sleiman was among 14 aspiring foreign correspondents selected by a panel of leading journalists from a pool of 165 applicants at 72 different colleges and universities.

Student groups join together to discuss the reality of suicide

On Tuesday, representatives from more than 50 Temple student organizations joined Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and fellow students in the Temple Performing Arts Center for an event designed to promote suicide awareness and non violence. “Peace in the City” was organized by Jaimee Swift, a senior communications major and president of the campus women’s group, Her Campus Temple.
