On October 5th, faculty, students and staff gathered to celebrate a $100,000 gift from Walmart Stores, Inc. that will provide scholarships to 50 Temple students who have come to Temple through the Russell Conwell Center (RCC).

Temple has created 250 four-year scholarships to be awarded over 10 years to students in the North Philadelphia neighborhoods surrounding Main Campus. Temple President Ann Weaver Hart celebrated the 2011 20/20 scholarship recipients at an awards ceremony yesterday with Mayor Michael Nutter and other elected officials.
