Tonight at 6 p.m. in Conwell Hall Dance Theater, Boyer College of Music and Dance will present “Between: Dance and L2Ork,” a performance of repertoire by Virginia Tech University's laptop orchestra combined with live dance improvisation. The concert will feature the world premiere of "Between," a new dance solo and orchestral piece.

Temple alumnus wins Oscar for film editing

Veteran film editor and Temple alumnus William Goldenberg won an Academy Award for "Best Film Editing" from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at the 85th annual Academy Awards ceremony Sunday at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Goldenberg was also nominated for "Zero Dark Thirty." The two films were his third and fourth Academy Award nominations.

Diamond Marching Band invited to perform at 2014 London New Year’s celebration

The Diamond Marching Band has been invited to perform as part of the 2014 London New Year’s Day Celebration and Festival, an event viewed by a worldwide television audience of some 220 million people and attended by more than half a million spectators. Stroke couldn't stop Boyer dance professor from teaching, choreography, drawing

In 2008, a stroke left Boyer dance professor Philip Grosser unable to read, write or speak — so he turned to drawing. After intensive speech therapy, Grosser was able to return to choreography and teaching, and now he has published a new book of art.
